Gorilla Private Equity

Company

Gorilla PE is a US-focused private equity firm that invests in deep tech companies reshaping the physical world.
Founded in 2017 by professionals from Bain & Company and KPMG, we have deployed ~$120M into US private markets across 20 funds, gaining direct cap table positions in category-defining companies like xAI, SpaceX, and X-energy.

What We Do

Rare Access to Defining Companies We source and structure investments in US private companies at the center of deep tech shifts — AI infrastructure, next-generation energy, and space. Our network provides access to oversubscribed rounds and secondary transactions that are typically closed to all but a handful of global investors.

Sector-Driven Thesis Development Every investment begins with a thesis. We conduct deep, independent research to identify structural inflection points — then move early into the companies best positioned to own them.

Full-Stack Deal Execution We don't just source deals — we structure them. Our team has direct experience building US partnerships, SPVs, and tax-efficient vehicles to navigate the complexity of cross-border private investment.

Our Edge

Sourcing Proprietary US network that consistently surfaces rare, oversubscribed deals. We had accessibility to OpenAI at $27B, xAI at $24B, and Anthropic at $4B — not because we were lucky, but because we built the relationships.

Structuring Deep expertise in cross-border transaction architecture. We have established and managed US partnerships, SPVs, tax blockers, and co-GP structures across 11 vehicles — 6 indirect and 5 direct investments.

Research Sector-level conviction built through original, bottoms-up analysis. We publish in-depth sector reports — covering areas like AI physical infrastructure, thermal management, and power systems — to develop thesis before deploying capital.

Alignment We invest our own capital alongside our LPs. Our interests are fully aligned with the people who trust us with theirs.

Investment Philosophy

A 'Gorilla' is a company that dominates its market so completely that competitors operate in its shadow — the monopolistic leader that defines the rules everyone else plays by.

But today's Gorilla is tomorrow's beta.
By the time dominance is recognized, the premium is priced in and the asymmetry is gone.

We look for what comes before — the bottlenecks, the paradigm shifts, the structural and generational changes in technology, industry, and society that redraw market boundaries entirely. When these forces break the old order, a new Gorilla emerges.

We don't invest in Gorillas. We find the Alpha Gorilla before the rest of the market knows the game has changed.
